Ted Receives the 2009 PPSFTC Carolyn Huckshorn Award

Each year Planned Parenthood of South Florida and the Treasure Coast presents the Carolyn Huckshorn Advocacy Award to a champion who demonstrates unflinching leadership and fearless support of reproductive health services and information.

This years recipient is State Senator Ted Deutch in honor of his steadfast support for comprehensive sex education in Florida schools and his unyielding leadership as the sponsor of the Healthy Teens Act.

He was presented the award by none other than the award's namesake, Carolyn Huckshorn.
